Cherry Lodge Childcare has always been shaped by one simple belief: children thrive when they feel safe, inspired, and free to explore. After our full refurbishment in 2024, the nursery has grown into a bright, welcoming space where every room has been designed with children’s learning and wellbeing in mind.
Our indoor areas are well equipped and carefully arranged to support all kinds of play and early learning. Whether children are getting messy with creative activities, building new skills, or simply enjoying time with friends, each space encourages curiosity and confidence.
Outside, our grounds give children the chance to connect with the natural world. They help grow vegetables in our garden, experiment in the mud kitchen, dig and construct in the sand pit, and enjoy fresh air on our covered decking—even when the weather isn’t on our side. These experiences help build independence and a genuine love for outdoor play.
Looking Ahead: Our Plans for Expansion
We’re now preparing for the next chapter in our journey. Cherry Lodge is currently in the pre-planning stage for an exciting extension that will allow us to welcome more families and introduce new, purpose-built spaces.
The proposed plans include:
A larger baby unit with more room for cosy, calm, age-appropriate care
New first-floor facilities that offer additional space for toddlers and preschoolers
A rooftop outdoor play terrace, giving children a new place to move, explore, and enjoy outdoor learning safely from above
These improvements will help us continue providing high-quality childcare while building on the strong foundation our families already know and trust.
